The results of major engineering exams are out, but alas, you haven't made it to the cream. We have no sympathies or condolences to offer, but a list of cool private college options that'll make sure you don't miss out on a thing. "It's not always possible to get admission in premier institutes. People often forget that there are many other good private institutes," says Professor R Natrajan, a specialist in the energy sector, and presently a lecturer at the Vellore Institute of Technology.
Vivek Gaurav, a student who failed to secure a seat in the dream IITs, has stopped sobbing over it, and instead, decided to try for other universities with a good rank. He feels, "It's no point wasting a year sitting and preparing for IIT or other premier institutes. I was convinced by some of my seniors that after graduating from IIT, I'd have the similar market value. The only difference is our approach towards life."
