Blame it on the success of the White Lotus series, but jungle prints — especially on resort wear are trending in a big way. While Pinterest’s Fall 2024 Trend Report indicates a growing interest in nature-inspired patterns, Pattern People, a trend forecasting company, has identified ‘Graphic Jungle’ as one of the strongest trends of the last decade. The reasons for its popularity are several — while, for some, the trend may feel like literally ‘wearing’ your holiday, for others, jungle prints are a refreshing way to explore their outdoorsy vibes. Nature-inspired designs also correspond with a renewed interest in wellness, which aligns them with the biophilic design trend. Here’s some fashion inspiration to add a touch of wild to your wardrobe.

Colour us tropical

This vibrant shift dress isn’t for the faint of heart. It features a vivid patchwork-style print by Colombian artist Herikita, who shares that the illustration was conceived as a wearable quilt, inspired by her great-grandmother’s hand-stitched blankets. The design itself is an ode to freedom, community, and colour without rules… may we suggest also wearing it to your next Tadoba-themed sojourn?

Oh deer!

This earthy-toned relaxed fit cotton dress is embroidered with delicate animal and foliage embroidery near the hem. The colour story, fabric and fit make it ideal for jungle holidays and even your Casual Friday fits. Layer with a lightweight shrug made of mul cotton for a cohesive, effortless look that wears as well in resorts as your office cubicle.

It’s a cat-astrophe

Embroidered, fully lined, soft, breathable cotton mul mul. And one of the cutest leopard portraits we’ve possibly laid eyes on. This co-ord set doesn’t just tick all the right boxes in terms of its bold block print and relaxed silhouette, it is also completely handmade with a portion of proceeds donated to the NGO Wildlife SOS. The set is also customisable with initials up to three characters, a helpful add-on when you’re getting your clothes laundered at a resort.

Shades of summer

If your idea of the wilderness is a saunter through the sun-kissed European countryside in July, this striking linen dress may be just what you’re looking for. With its delicate print that resembles palm fronds, grazing deer and muted tones, the dress is head-turning yet subtle and made of light linen fabric. We especially love the voluminous sleeves — another hot trend for this year — and the strategic cutouts
that add a hint of sexy.

Fun in green

For men who don’t play it safe, this vibrant green co-ord set in muslin silk is a must-have. The lush green hue and eye-catching foliage-inspired print adds an air of casual cool, while keeping you comfortable. We recommend pairing this set with cork sandals for the ultimate Gen Z-approved vacay look, and the shorts with a white linen shirt for a more laidback chic ensemble.

Wilderness fit check

>> Neutrals such as tan, brown, beige, khaki, olive, terracotta and rust are earthy, versatile and flattering. They can also pare down more statement prints and be a good starting point.
>> Choose linen, cotton and viscose blends for a relaxed and weather-suitable look.
>> Flowy, easy fits work best for day looks. Add a few tailored pieces for evening wear
>> Accessorise your look with sunglasses, open-toe sandals and hats in neutral colours
>> Don’t go overboard with mixing too many prints. If the designs are large, balance them with solid pieces. For instance, pair a jungle print co-ord set with neutral accessories, a printed bikini with a solid sarong in a neutral colour, or a printed shirt with linen trousers.
