Rahman was scheduled to board flight OV762 to Oman at 10.50 am on Wednesday on an employment visa. A police officer said, "When he reached the immigration counter, the immigration officer Ganesh Gawali grew suspicious of him during verification. While checking the accused's mobile phone, officials found a Bangladeshi national identity card, a soft copy of his wife Lipi Parvin’s Bangladeshi passport, and visa-related documents of his son Labib Ul Islam.”
