Burglars on the prowl as 4 break-ins reported in 1 day

After eight chain snatching incidents on Tuesday, Pune witnessed a spate of robberies on Wednesday
Police have launched an operation targeting burglars in the city following a surge in break-ins and chain snatchings in the last two days. On Tuesday, chain snatching offences wereu00a0reported from Swargate, Sahakarnagar, Chinchwad, Yerawada, Vishrantwadi, Pimpri and Nigdi.
The following day, incidences of house break-ins were reported from Khadak, Koregaon Park, Yerawada and Airport police station jurisdictions wherein gold ornaments and cash, collectively worth Rs 10 lakh, were reported stolen in all four incidents.
