Mumbai Police carry out massive drug disposal in Raigad, destroy Rs 80 crore worth of narcotics

Mumbai Police on Thursday carried out a massive drug disposal drive in Maharashtra's Raigad district and destroyed Rs 80 crore worth of narcotics, officials said. 

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch destroyed 162 kg of narcotics and 7,908 codeine-mixed bottles worth Rs 80.56 crore. The destruction took place at a closed kiln facility of Mumbai Waste Management Limited in Taloja, Raigad, they said.
