<p>An official said that a 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attacking a woman with a piece of glass after her <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-woman-stripped-slashed-beaten-by-kin-over-rs-21-lakh-loan-23522447" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">umbrella</a> brushed against him on Sunday, reported news agency PTI.</p>
<p>The incident took place at JK Kapoor Chowk in the Worli area, the official said.</p>
<p>The woman, Anita Balu Patkar, was walking when the umbrella in her hand accidentally hit the accused, Sachin Bhagwan Avasarmol, he said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>In a fit of rage, Avasarmol allegedly picked up a glass shard and slashed Patkar's hand, seriously injuring her. The police got her admitted to <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/amp/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-police-nab-dentist-from-kolkata-for-trafficking-rescue-two-children-23522588" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">KEM Hospital</a>, the official said, reported PTI.</p>
<p>Subsequently, a case was registered against the accused and he was arrested from Worli, the official added.</p>
<h2>Female auto-rickshaw passenger harassed by shirtless man</h2>
<p>A shirtless man who appeared to be mentally unstable harassed a female passenger during her drive back home in an autorickshaw in the Bandra area of Mumbai, reported PTI.</p>
<p>The woman recorded the video of the incident which occurred Saturday night and posted it on X handle, drawing the attention of <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/railway-personnel-find-woman-s-body-stuffed-in-suitcase-near-tracks-outside-mumbai-23520933" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Mumbai Police</a>.</p>
<p>The video clip shows the man screaming at the woman and spitting while walking on the pavement.</p>
<p>The man had approached the female passenger of the <a href="https://mid-day.com/amp/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/mumbai-man-detained-for-molesting-woman-inside-best-bus-23521933" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">autorickshaw</a> asking for food, but she ignored him.</p>
<p>On Sunday morning, the woman shared her ordeal on the Mumbai Police's X account.</p>
<p>Later, the city police replied to her post, saying, "We have followed you. Please share your contact details in DM".</p>
<p>The woman sent the requested details on a personal chat window and thanked the police for their support.&nbsp;</p>
