Mumbai: Mazgaon family suspects 'djinn' of stealing gold, but calls help cops nab relative

According to a police official, on September 26, a 40-year-old businessman from Mazgaon visited the police station and informed the police that gold worth over Rs 4.05 lakh and cash worth Rs 10 lakh were stolen from his house in Mazgaon area. The police registered a case of theft and began to investigate the matter

A Mazgaon based family who has been suspecting a 'djinn' of stealing gold in small quantities since February 2022 has finally learnt that it was a relative who had been getting his hands on the ornaments. The Byculla Police arrested three people from Gujarat and recovered the stolen property worth lakhs, the police said.

According to a police official, on September 26, a 40-year-old businessman from Mazgaon visited the police station and informed the police that gold worth over Rs 4.05 lakh and Rs 10 lakh cash were stolen from his house in Mazgaon area. The police registered a case of theft and began to investigate the matter.
