In the first incident, the naked body of a 24-year-old newly married woman was found soaked in blood in Virar on Saturday. The wrists of the deceased were found slit. The woman, [identified as] Priya [Kamble], got married to Amar Kamble on October 21 and had been staying with him. The in-charge of Virar police, Suresh Varade told mid-day that the body has been sent to JJ Hospital for post-mortem to ascertain if it is a murder or a suicide. “The deceased’s mother Ashwini Lotekar has submitted a complaint alleging that Priya has been murdered. We have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code against unknown person,” Varade told mid-day. Her husband Amar is a contractual BEST bus driver deployed in Bandra.
