Mumbai: Talwalkars gym owner arrested for duping clients

Mumbai: A fitness centre owner has been arrested for allegedly cheating gym members of membership fee to the tune of over Rs 9.5 lakh, police said today.

Rahul Talwalkar, who runs Talwalkar fitness solutions, was initially apprehended by the officials of the Gangapur police station, a senior official said today.

He was brought here on transfer warrant yesterday, the officer said.

Police said Rahul is accused of defrauding and cheating 57 gym members for membership amount to the tune of Rs 9,79, 000.

A case under relevant section of IPC was registered at MHB police station here and investigations are underway, they said.

He was produced before a local court which remanded him in police custody till February 5.
