The Mumbai traffic police caught 127 people for drunk driving in a major drive last night. According to the traffic police, most of the offenders were caught from Colaba, Bandra, Mahim and Borivali.

The traffic police conduct drives to apprehend drunk drivers every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They have apprehended 2,029 drunk drivers so far this year.

To get rid of habitual offenders the traffic police had said last month that they wanted to create the 'fear of god' in the mind of offenders. Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) (traffic) Sanjay Barve said, "We need to incorporate fear of god in the minds of such offenders. As people like Parikhu00a0 are errant and need to be improved."
