Powai police are not only investigating the illegal kidney transplant racket at Hiranandani Hospital, but have one more task on their plate — to investigate a fake letter that claims that the report of the internal investigation that was to be done by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) on three more doctors hasn't been submitted, despite repeated reminders, and this is slowing down the police investigation in the kidney transplant racket case.
On Friday evening, a letter addressed to the DHS from Powai police station was given to a few reporters. It claimed that the DHS is not submitting the report of the internal investigation that was supposed to be done on three more doctors who are under scanner for illegal kidney transplants.
