Conman dupes Thane nurse of Rs 8 lakh on promise of job abroad

A city-based nurse was allegedly duped of Rs eight lakhs by a man on the pretext of getting her a lucrative job abroad, police said on Thursday.

The 26-year-old nurse, working with a private hospital in Thane city, registered a complaint with Kapurbawdi police on Tuesday, saying that Vaibhav Rajnikanth Doshi alias Dharmesh Doshi cheated her and took about Rs 8 lakhs from her while promising to facilitate a good job in Denmark through his overseas recruitment agency, senior police inspector S D Jadhav said.
