Mumbai: Distracted by India's win over Pak, teen falls to death in lift shaft

While the entire nation was rejoicing over India’s triumph against Pakistan in yesterday’s World Cup cricket match, the excitement resulted in the death of a 16-year-old college student in Santacruz (West), after he fell four floors down the lift shaft in his building.

According to the police, the teenager, Farukh Vadgujar, was watching the India-Pakistan match with his family and friends at his fourth-floor residence at Milap Apartments near Milan subway. When Team India won, the gathering erupted in celebration.
