The next time you see an on-duty Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel focusing more on the conversation he/she is having over the cellphone instead of manning the compartment, you can click pictures and lodge a complaint against the personnel at the RPF headquarters in CST.

Officials claimed that the initiative was taken considering the growing number of complaints from commuters about the lackadaisical approach exhibited by RPF personnel while executing their duty.
Official speak A K Singh, chief security commissioner (RPF) for CR, said, &ldquo;We have been receiving complaints about such issues time and again. In case passengers spot RPF personnel talking on phone and not concentrating on their job, they can click pictures and submit them with an official complaint at the headquarters. If proven guilty of failing to discharge their duty, stringent action will be initiated against personnel.&rdquo;
Commuter speak &ldquo;Often I spot RPF officials busy chatting on their cellphones. The initiative by the RPF chief is in the right direction, and hopefully will yield positive results,&rdquo; said Arun Sharma, a daily commuter to Thane from Vasai. It may be noted that Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria recently forbid constables on duty from using cellphones.
