A 44-year-old man was arrested by the Borivli Police on Saturday for molesting his 10-year-old daughter and forcing her to perform oral sex on him. The man was caught in the act by his wife, who had been tipped off about his misdeeds when her daughter saw a peacock on TV a few days ago and said its beak resembled her father’s private parts.

While the accused works as a manager with a liquor company, his wife owns a garment factory and their daughter is a Std V student. Borivli Police officials said that late on Friday night, the man was sleeping with his wife and daughter in their bedroom. While his wife was sleeping, he was touching the daughter’s private parts and forcing her to perform oral sex on him. The survivor’s mother woke up, caught her husband red-handed and informed the police.
The 10-year-old told the police that while bathing her every morning, her father would remove his clothes as well and make her perform oral sex on him. Even in the night, he would touch her private parts and molest her while her mother was asleep. She said this had been going on since December 2013.
A few days back, the girl saw a peacock on TV and told her mother that her father’s private parts look like the bird’s beak. This alarmed the mother and made her suspect that something was amiss. She would look after her daughter the entire day, but her husband would molest their daughter when she had fallen asleep.
The Borivli Police registered a case late on Friday night and arrested the accused on Saturday afternoon. Senior inspector Narayan Khaire said, “We arrested the accused after the victim’s mother registered the complaint.
We have registered a case under Section 354 (a) (sexual harassment) of the IPC and under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The accused was produced in the Bandra holiday court yesterday and remanded in police custody till Tuesday.”
