A 3-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped after being lured under the pretext of chocolates by an unknown person. The survivor was found in unconscious condition behind a garbage box at Andheri east on the night of October 13.
According to police sources, the survivor, along with her 5-year-old friend was playing at her house, where an unknown person came and took her along with him, on pretext of giving her chocolates. The girl&rsquo;s friend informed the victim&rsquo;s mother of the same.
The locals, along with the survivor&rsquo;s mother, then began searching for her, and eventually found her behind a garbage box, near the locality close to Takshila colony.
&ldquo;The incident was reported around 2 am. We immediately took the girl for medical at Cooper hospital. Blood was oozing out of her private parts. Looking at her conditions, the doctors referred her to KEM hospital where she is admitted and is under treatment,&rdquo; informed a police official from MIDC police station.
&ldquo;We have registered a case under Sections 376, 363 of IPC and various section of POSCO. We have got some clues about the accused as his image was captured in a CCTV. The suspect is in his 20s, but his image is not clear. We are thus taking help of experts,&rdquo; added the cop.
