A team of six policemen from Falna police station in Rajasthan, headed by Additional SP Kawalram, is in Mumbai to question two city cops, along with four other accused, in connection with a case registered at Malad police station in 2013.
That year, current senior police inspector of Vanrai police station, Chandrakant Gurav, and API Sunil Shinde, now attached to the side branch, had registered an FIR at Malad police station (where they were posted at the time) and later arrested Jagdish Chauhan, Dhumal Jain and Bhikamchand Sisodiya. The arrest followed complaint by Sukhlal Jain, who alleged he was duped of R2.5 crore in a property deal in Juhu, initiated by Dhumal and Jagdish. All three hail from Pali in Falna district, Rajasthan, and are jewellers in Mumbai.
