The Kashimira police have identified all the minor girls in the photographs that were found at former Thane district deputy chief of Shiv Sena, Vasudeo Nambiyar’s residence on Monday. Nambiyar had raped a 15-year-old in January and the police had arrested him after the case had come to light when the girl delivered his baby at a Mira Road hospital on September 4.

mid-day had reported yesterday that the police had found CDs containing pornographic material, 15 packs of Viagra and photos of girls at Nambiyar’s house. Police found out later that the photos were of the 15-year-old he had raped, and 30 other minor students from her school. They even spoke to the girls in the photos personally, however, not a single one of them gave a statement against Nambiyar, said an official.

Senior Inspector Anil Kadam of Kashimira police station said, “After Nambiyar’s arrest, we conducted a raid at his residence on Monday and found many minor girls’ photographs. All of them are from the same school as the survivor. We also found Viagra and other such medicines at his residence. We identified all the girls and spoke to them, but none of them complained against Nambiyar.”

Another official said, “The photographs, which were found at his residence had been stolen by him from the school’s albums. Nambiyar had a criminal record even before this incident but this is the first rape case registered against him.”
