Peter Mukerjea was aware of the spot selected to dispose of Sheena and Mikhail Bora's bodies, driver Shyamvar Rai has said, adding that Indrani had informed Peter about it, saying 'it's a good place'.
The CBI yesterday filed a 100-page supplementary chargesheet (a copy of which is with mid-day) before a special CBI court at the sessions court. The chargesheet shows Peter's involvement in killing Sheena and in a plan to eliminate her brother Mikhail. It has 13 statements attached, including of Rai's as well as Mikhail's.

The email trail The chargesheet has a two-page statement in Hindi given by Rai. It states, "On April 23, 2012, when I took Indrani to the Lonvala-Pen-Khopoli road to do a recce of the spot for disposing of the siblings' bodies, I remember Indrani calling up Peter twice, taking Sheena and Mikhail's names and saying 'good place' while talking to him.
The CBI has also attached many emails to the chargesheet, one of Peter showing his disapproval of Rahul and Sheena's relationship. Dated April 29, 2012, it states, "...initially I was ok with your relationship as I figured that due to economic pressures it would break anyway as Sheena would want more from life and would tell you that and leave you if she didn't get it after a while. And I was more interested in your safety. I could understand you having a broken heart for a time but nothing more than that and I didn't want any harm to come to you in the processes. Who knows what things people can get upto in their quest for saving their girls of their reputations&hellip;" (sic)
Another sent by Rahul to Sheena after her disappearance on June 19, 2012, states, "I dunno what the heck is going on!! People are still calling me with their worry. P and I are still giving me bakwaas. and warning me about being shot or beaten up." (sic)
There are several emails sent by Peter to Rahul to discourage him from looking into Sheena's disappearance.
An email sent by Rahul to Peter on May 28, 2012, states, "As I said there is a simple solution im done talking you people are deceitful and dishonest and I want nothing further to do with any of you. A father who told me that it doesn's matter what I do, as long as I don't get caught, is not really gonna teach me anything positive." (sic)
Mikhail's statement Mikhail, in his statement to the CBI, said when he was a kid, his father Siddharth Das and Indrani used to fight frequently over petty issues, and once, after a big fight, they both stormed out, leaving him and Sheena alone. Their maid then took them to Indrani's parents and then they grew up there, he added. On Indrani's instruction, her parents also adopted both of them.
Mikhail's statement also details attempts made by Indrani to harm him &mdash; once when he visited Mumbai on her insistence, he met Sanjeev, who took him to a pub and offered him a drink. After having a few drinks, Mikhail lost consciousness, and regained his senses after a couple of days, finding himself in a locked room with his hands tied, his hair cut, wearing different clothes. When he shouted, he was given an injection that made him unconscious.
When he came to, he found himself in drug de-addiction centre at Masina Hospital. Mikhail said Indrani admitted him there for medication on the pretext that he was taking drugs. "I was treated badly by the hospital staff. Indrani also used to come and say nasty things about me. She was taking the doctor's help to declare me mentally sick, so that if I expose my relationship with her, nobody would believe it," he said.
Just another pawn Mikhail also said that Indrani used him to separate Sheena and Rahul. In March 2012, Indrani even sent a message to Mikhail, threatening to disinherit him if he did not break the two up. Mikhail added that he had no choice but to do what she said as she was helping him financially.
Mikhail's statement also states that in 2012 when he inquired about Sheena, Indrani told him that she was studying in the US. When Mikhail became suspicious, he confronted Indrani, but "she was rude to me and threatened to stop the monthly financial help if I raised any further query about Sheena", it adds.
Mikhail also said, "Sheena had told me that Indrani and Peter both were not in favour of their relationship."
More lies busted Indrani's secretary Kajal Sharma, whose statement was also recorded, refuted Peter's claim that she (Sharma) had spoken to him as Sheena at Indrani's behest. "Indrani never instructed me to talk to Peter over the phone as Sheena and say, 'Jiju, hi, I am fine'."
The statement of another driver working for a family in Marlow building, which is attached to the chargesheet, highlights Peter's opposition to Sheena and Rahul's relationship. "There was general talk among the drivers about their relationship. Sheena and Rahul used to visit Peter. I am aware of quarrels between Peter and Rahul over the latter's relationship," said one.
Another important statement attached is of Sheena's friend Vibhuti Singh, who said that when she had visited Sheena at Marlow building, she had noticed the animosity between Indrani and Sheena, and the former showering affection on Vidhie. This has been cited as the reason Sheena shifted to a PG accommodation. "Indrani visited the PG flat in Sheena's absence and told me that I should convince her to break it up with Rahul as he is not right for her. She also told me that Rahul was drug addict."
