After depriving the catchment areas of rainfall throughout the season, the rain gods have finally given the city reason to be cautiously optimistic. The seven lakes that supply water to the city saw good rainfall on Friday and Saturday, pushing the total useful stock of water from 87,184 million litres to 95,443 million litres.
