Mumbai Customs seize gold worth Rs 1.5 crore, arrest 2 Chinese nationals

The Air Intelligence Unit of Mumbai Customs has arrested two Chinese nationals and seized gold bars worth over Rs 1.5 crore from their possession at the international airport in Mumbai.
Lin Hung Yu (33) and Tseng Hao Chun (30) were intercepted and searched late last night after they arrived in Mumbai from Hong Kong. The duo was found to be in possession of gold bars, concealed in waist pouches and cabin bags.

Both admitted that they were trying to smuggle the gold which they had procured in Taiwan for sale in the Indian market. Further probe is on.
