The Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) will soon summon the doctors from Vashi who have been accused of negligence in a case where six elderly patients reportedly lost their vision following cataract surgeries in Navi Mumbai.

MMC administrator Dr Vinky Rughwani confirmed to Sunday mid-day that the council has taken cognisance of the matter.

Rughwani said, “We will be calling the doctors concerned for a hearing soon. We have also sent them communication seeking their explanation regarding the allegations.”
