Maharashtra: Narrow escape for 36 passengers as pvt bus bursts into flames on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

The incident happened at a distance of 78 kilometres into the Mumbai-Pune Expressway; the fire was likely caused by a short circuit due to an AC leak.

On the Mumbai Pune Expressway, close to the Urse toll plaza, a private bus, with 36 passengers aboard, caught fire and it was caused due to a tyre burst and leakage in the air-conditioning system. None of the passengers were hurt in the incident, said officials. 

The incident happened at a distance of 78 kilometres into the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
