Heavy pre-monsoon rains accompanied by strong winds damaged power distribution infrastructure in Murbad region of Thane district in Maharashtra, reported the PTI.

Damaged power distribution infrastructure plunged many areas into darkness before electricity was restored overnight, officials said.
