An Orange alert issued for parts of Vidarbha on Thursday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued an 'Orange' alert for Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Bhandara and Gondia predicting thunderstorms with lightning and heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

The weather department issued a 'Yellow' alert for Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Bhuldana and Washim. It said that thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rainfall at isolated places were likely.
