Mumbai: Cops rescue mentally, physically challenged man 3 days after mother's death

Incident came to light after milkman informed security guard that 65-year-old Vinodini Nagwekar hadn’t collected milk packets, left at her doorstep, for the last three days

In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old mentally and physically challenged man had to spend three days without food or water after his 65-year-old mother passed away. Officials from the Mulund police station said Vinodini Nagwekar, an asthma patient, breathed her last on Tuesday night at their residence at Thakur Prem Ashish Society, Nahur Village, Mulund (W).
The incident came to light yesterday morning after the milkman checked with security guard Umesh Thappa about the family’s whereabouts.
