Mumbai: Flying activities banned in Shivaji Park, nearby areas for Maharashtra Day

Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) prohibits flying operations in the jurisdictions of Mahim, Shivaji Park, Dadar, and Worli police stations till May 1.

Flying operations over Shivaji Park and nearby areas in Mumbai have been forbidden for the Maharashtra Day statehood festivities on May 1, according to a police officer. The yearly event features a ceremonial march attended by officials and thousands of civilians, thus security is critical, the PTI report added. 

According to the report, Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) prohibits flying operations in the jurisdictions of Mahim, Shivaji Park, Dadar, and Worli police stations till May 1.
