After intense monsoon showers last week, IMD has now issued an advisory stating that there will be no chances of rain in the coming few days. IMD, the weather forecasting agency while issuing the advisory, said that because of the changing weather, the monsoon's speed has slowed, and it has now totally halted and there are very less chances of rainfall till June 10, 2025.
Along with noting the reduction of rainfall in the coming few days, IMD also said that the clouds which entered in Mumbai are predicted to become effective after June 10. As per reports, the west coast and some other parts of the Maharashtra state are expected to receive light to moderate rain during this period.
This long break in the monsoon showers in the Mumbai region will effect a lot of irrigation activities. Considering the fact, advisories for farmers have also been issued by the authorities. Taking the matter seriously, concerned departments and agencies have urged farmers to wait till the monsoon becomes effective in Maharashtra and not rush into sowing the crops.
The sudden pause in the monsoon depicts that there can be a steep rise in the temperature around the state. While weather experts state that temperatures during the day in the Vidarbha region can go all the way up to 40 degrees Celsius. The Khandesh and Marathwada regions to expected to experience temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius.
