Owners should make time for their pets and not depend on servants," added Andrea. She pointed that most dogs with a long coat need to be regularly brushed out. "Since regular cleaning is not done, most long-haired pets end up with tangled hair, ticks and wounds," said Andrea. She added that only giving a bath to the pet is not enough. Speaking out against gifting pets, Andrea said, "Many people gift pets to family and friends, especially children. Though they love their pets immensely, their cleanliness goes for a toss. And it is the pets who suffer."
