He also promised that the proceeds from the film would go to the widows of the 26/11 martyrs. Akhilesh Chaubey, vice president of MNS's legal cellu00a0 said that they had received a list of theatres from Khan for the movie screening. "He requested us to organise a conference stating that we had no objections to the movie. I will be speaking to the party high command shortly," he said. The MNS had earlier staged protests against the film as it looks at hardships immigrants face in a city where rural migration has displaced Marathis. Khan was directed to remove the word 'Marathi' from dialogues in the film by the Censor Board. Though the movie received a clean chit from the High Court, the Maharashtra government has stalled the release of the film in the state. Khan is keen to release the film in Mumbai, but has lost all hopes. "I have spoken to the MNS and the Mumbai police, but have received no response from them."u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0 Khan has submitted a list of 15 theatres across the state to exhibitors as well. Shero Dawood, an exhibitor with seven cinemas in Mumbai that includes New Shirin Talkies at Jacob Circle, said, "We have no issues in releasing the film if we get police protection. Kamaal Khan has told us that he will personally give us the no objection letter from MNS."
