College wants to prevent spread of swine flu among students
St Xavier's College that hosts Malhar, one of the most popular college festivals in the city, has decided to act before it's too late.
The college has declined outstation students from participating in Malhar this year because of the swine flu scare.
MiD DAY had front-paged a report on August 8 on how 50,000 students, including those from Pune, expected to attend popular festivals Malhar and N M College's Umang, face the risk of contracting swine flu because
the organisers had not planned any precautionary measures to tackle the deadly H1N1 virus.
