Gamdevi police have arrested a security supervisor of Zoroastrian Society building in Nanachowk, Gamdevi for allegedly molesting a 20-year-old girl yesterday.

According to the police, the girl, a student of M M K College in Bandra was volunteering for a Thane-based NGO and collecting funds for cancer patients, when the incident occurred. The girl approached Gamdevi police station and filed a complaint against the accused.

"The watchman stopped her from entering the building. In the meantime, the security supervisor Vikas alias Anil Harinarayan Zha came to the spot and started shouting at the girl. He then reprimanded the watchman for letting the girl inside the building gate. In the melee, Zha is alleged to have misbehaved with the girl," said a police officer from Gamdevi police station.

The supervisor was booked on charges of molestation and produced in court and is currently out on bail.
