The Western Railway on Tuesday announced that as many as 102 Mumbai local trains will remain cancelled on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 due to the suspension of exit and entry at the Kandivali car shed.
According to a press release issued by Western Railway on Tuesday, speed restrictions will also be imposed on the Up and Down fast lines between Kandivali and Malad during the block period on January 21. As a result, several suburban train services will remain cancelled for the day.
Passengers have been advised to take note of the changes and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Earlier on Monday, the Western Railway had said that it will operate a mega block at Kandivali on January 20 due to which several services will remain cancelled.
An official statement said that suburban train services will be affected on January 20 due to the suspension of exit and entry at the Kandivali car shed.
"It is part of operational work being carried out on the Mumbai suburban rail network," officials said.
In addition to the car shed suspension, speed restrictions have been imposed on the up and down fast lines between Kandivali and Malad. As a result, several suburban services will remain cancelled for the day.
