Police stated in a written response to the court on Thursday that three pieces of the knife – those lodged near Saif Ali Khan`s spine and found at the crime scene – were all part of the same weapon used to attack the filmstar. Khan, 54, was repeatedly stabbed on January 16 during a robbery attempt in his 12th-floor Bandra apartment. He underwent surgery at Lilavati Hospital to remove a knife fragment and was discharged five days later. Shariful Islam, a Bangladeshi national, was arrested two days after the incident for the alleged stabbing
