Mumbai’s civic-run King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital has been selected for this year’s ‘Vandaniya Balasaheb Thackeray Jan Aarogya Gaurav Puraskar’ for being the best-performing hospital in the city under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. According to a press release, the hospital was recognised for its successful and efficient implementation of government health schemes. Officials credited the success to Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar’s “vision” and the end-to-end claim management model developed by Vikas Deshmukh of Creative Solutions.
