Mumbai University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Survey of India to enhance academic, research, and technical collaboration. An official statement said that under the agreement, a state-of-the-art Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) will be established on the university campus, marking a significant boost for precision in GPS-based surveying, mapping, and geolocation. The new CORS will provide centimetre-level accuracy in real-time for geospatial data, benefiting government departments, private surveyors, engineers, researchers, and students.
