Ahead of Ganeshotsav 2026, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has directed officials to strengthen waste management and amenities for devotees in Dadar. A special plan will be implemented to dispose of discarded flowers at the Maa Saheb Meenatai Thackeray Flower Market, while waste management at the nearby vegetable market will also be improved, said officials. During the inspection, Verma-Lavangare also directed officials to ensure that constructions obstructing the route of the proposed flyover connecting Mahim Fishing Colony with the Western Express Highway in Bandra and the Worli-Bandra Sea Link are removed within the stipulated timeframe
