On the occasion of Maharashtra State Martyrs’ Memorial Day, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also paid floral tributes at Hutatma Chowk
On this occasion, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Adv. Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, MLA Abhimanyu Pawar and other dignitaries were also present along with the Chief Minister
Leaders paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the United Maharashtra movement
Apart from the Chief Minister and various state ministers, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray also visited the memorial to honour the martyrs
Former Maharashtra Minister and MLA from the Worli constituency, Aaditya Thackeray, also reached Martyrs’ Memorial and paid floral tributes
Eknath Shinde, while posting on social media, further wrote that "Mumbai was given to Maharashtra due to the sacrifices of these heroes. However, today it is not enough to just salute them; it is necessary to make all-around progress in Mumbai and enhance the reputation of this city"
