The rituals are performed to bless the businesses and bring good fortune for the rest of the year

The ceremony is conducted every year at the temple

During the puja, old account books are closed and new ones are opened in the presence of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi, symbolising the start of fresh, blessed financial dealings

The deities are offered sweets, fruits, rice, betel leaves, and coins during the puja
