Eknath Shinde pays tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj during the commemorative ceremony at the historic Raigad Fort, which attracts thousands of devotees every year.

Addressing the gathering, Shinde announces a drinking water project for Raigad Fort, saying the Maharashtra government will approve a water supply scheme to address the long-standing shortage of potable water at the heritage site.

Shinde highlights the historical significance of Raigad Fort, describing it as the birthplace of self-rule and a symbol of Maharashtra's pride and identity.

Thousands gather for the annual coronation anniversary celebrations at Raigad Fort, where devotees and dignitaries commemorate the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The Deputy Chief Minister recalls the growth of the annual celebrations, crediting the late Balasaheb Thackeray for encouraging the observance according to the traditional calendar and acknowledging the role of Bharat Gogawale and local organisers.

Shinde says the government will support farmers if the delayed monsoon affects the agricultural season and reiterates that financial assistance under the Ladki Bahin scheme will continue.

Speaking on Shivaji Maharaj's legacy, Shinde says the Maratha ruler's principles of justice, public welfare, women's safety, strong administration and environmental conservation continue to inspire generations.

Shinde thanks Prime Minister Narendra Modi for incorporating the royal seal of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj into the Indian Navy's new logo, saying it has helped showcase the Maratha king's legacy globally.

The Deputy Chief Minister notes UNESCO recognition for Raigad Fort and 11 other forts in Maharashtra, calling it an important milestone in promoting the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj internationally.
