The affected building comprises a basement, ground floor, four upper floors, and an attic. The fire was confined to wooden furniture and office materials on the fourth floor.

Obstructions, such as furniture stock stored in common passageways and balconies, hampered firefighting efforts. Smoke was heavily logged on the fourth floor, complicating the situation.

Ventilation was carried out by breaking the windows to release smoke. The fire was initially declared a Level-I incident by MFB at 0246 hours.

The severity of the fire escalated to Level-II at 0330 hours, and then to Level-III by 0417 hours. The firefighting team included 12 fire engines, 7 jumbo tankers, and several additional vehicles.

No injuries or casualties have been reported so far. By 1147 hours, the fire was brought under control, with firefighting efforts covering the incident from all sides.
