According to information received by the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the incident occurred at around 4:47 am at the wedding open lawn, located opposite Sahara City in the Mannat Compound on Khardi Road
The fire reportedly started on the stage area of the wedding lawn, which covers approximately 2,400 square feet
After receiving the alert from the Shil Fire Station, firefighters rushed to the spot with one rescue vehicle and one fire engine. Officers and personnel of the fire brigade worked swiftly to contain the blaze
The officials quickly rushed to the spot and prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the venue
Officials said the fire was completely extinguished by around 5 am, bringing the situation under control within a short time
