The 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festivities begin on September 14 this year

With less than a month to go for Ganesh Chaturthi, several prominent mandals have begun bringing their idols to the pandals

As light showers began along the aagman route, devotees covered the idol with a plastic sheet

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of Maharashtra’s biggest festivals, with Mumbai seeing the installation of numerous household, society and community Ganpati idols

The idols are transported from workshops to pandals amid colours, flower petals, dhol beats and dancing.
