A huge pile of garbage was recently spotted accumulating inside a nullah near Dharavi T Junction, raising concerns on sanitation and the effectiveness of pre-monsoon cleaning efforts in the area (Pics/SHADAB KHAN)

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) appears to be making sluggish progress in cleaning nullahs

This slow progress is raising concerns, with only two months left until the onset of the monsoon

In the year 2024, the BMC started cleaning drains by March 6

This year, however, the nullah-cleaning work has begun at a much slower pace

Additionally, the public dashboard meant to track the progress of the cleaning efforts has not been installed yet
