The maintenance work led to slower traffic movement and increased travel time for motorists using the stretch

Long queues of vehicles were seen near the Laxmi Bagh junction, with cars, buses and heavy vehicles inching forward amid the bottleneck

Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance, allow extra travel time and, where possible, use alternative routes to avoid the traffic build-up

Ghodbunder Road is one of the busiest road corridors in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), serving as a crucial link between the eastern and western suburbs

Any repair or maintenance work on the route often leads to traffic snarls, especially during morning and evening rush hours

Traffic is expected to remain slow until the maintenance work is completed, and motorists have been advised to stay updated through traffic advisories before setting out.
