According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a yellow alert remains in place for the city on May 28

The city of Mumbai and its suburbs are set to experience a generally cloudy sky accompanied by moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the day, the weather department said

The IMD on Wednesday morning predicted a possibility of thunder and lightning, along with gusty winds, in isolated parts of the region

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has also issued high tide-related advisories for citizens living in coastal zones

A high tide of 4.88 meters is expected at 1:03 pm on Wednesday, followed by another high tide early on Thursday at 12:44 am measuring 4.14 meters

A low tide of 1.59 meters is anticipated at 7:06 pm on Wednesday, while a significantly lower tide of 0.17 meters is expected at 6:48 am on Thursday, May 29

The IMD has also predicted a rainy and stormy week across several parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai and its nearby districts

The IMD has issued an orange alert for Chandrapur and Gadchiroli in Vidarbha, while yellow alerts are in place for several other areas including Pune, Satara, Chandrapur, and Gondia
