IN PHOTOS: IMD predicts heavy rain in Mumbai for next 3-4 days

As we enter the last month of monsoon, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted 'moderate to heavy rainfall' in Mumbai, Thane and other parts of Maharashtra for the next 3-4 days. Mumbai has been receiving intermittent showers since Ganesh Chaturthi, which began on September 10. All Pics/Shadab Khan, Sameer Markande and Satej Shinde.

IMD has issued an orange alert for the Palghar region and forecasted extremely heavy rain till September 15. Keeping this in mind, there is likely to be waterlogging and will have an adverse impact on traffic in the city. Pic/Satej Shinde

A yellow alert has been issued for Nagpur, Wardha, Gondia, Amravati, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli etc. districts. Yellow alert generally signals authorities to 'be aware' of the danger. During this monsoon season only, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts have witnessed tremendous rain and faced a lot of damages. Pic/Satej Shinde
