CM Devendra Fadnavis launched the new website of the Maharashtra Gauseva Aayog, www.mahagosevaayog.org, which has been set up to promote cow culture in the state

The Gauseva Commission has been constituted for the conservation, protection, and welfare of indigenous bovines in the State and to supervise the institutions working for the same

He said the state has 1.39 crore bovines, of which 13 lakh are indigenous cows. Under 'Go Ten,' work is being done for the conservation of cows through cow rearing, cow conservation, cow protection, cow value addition, gaushala, gau rakshak, gopalak, cow-based farming, cow literacy, and cow tourism

Mundada also said that special dairy will be set up for indigenous cows in the state. The Commission is supervising the conservation, protection, and welfare of indigenous bovines and the institutions working for the same

Registration of Gaushalas, Gosadans, Panjrapoles and Bovine Societies, inclusion and implementation of Govardhan Govansh Seva Kendra Scheme and other schemes, operation of animal health services, management of infirm, aged and diseased animals, ensuring care and treatment, training and awareness of persons taking care of animals are being done
