Mumbai witnessed intense monsoon showers on Sunday, with torrential rain lashing several parts of the city and triggering multiple tree-fall incidents. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has continued its red alert for Mumbai, Thane and Palghar, warning of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall throughout the day.
