Heavy monsoon showers lashed Mumbai over the past 24 hours, soaking iconic locations such as Fort, Gateway of India, and Marine Drive. As crashing waves and high tide accompanied the relentless downpour, residents and visitors braved the rain even the weather bureau placed the Mumbai Metropolitan Region under an orange alert.
